My Story
My name is Lisa and I am a wife and mother of two children. Up until recently I also worked full-time, until the pandemic made it impossible to work and oversee virtual learning.
I first discovered Scentsy when I was visiting my former hair salon. My hairdresser had a Whoot mini warmer plugged in, and it smelled SO GOOD in there! Owls are my grandmother's favorite animal, and I saw that warmer and I knew that I HAD TO HAVE IT! I bought the mini warmer and some wax, and I instantly fell in love with the scents and the quality of the products! However, I didn't decide to start my own Scentsy journey until a few years later, in December 2015. I originally joined the Scentsy Family as a way of providing some additional income to our family during a difficult time we were having financially. My husband had quit his job and taken a 50% pay cut, and we were looking at looming debt and foreclosure on our home. I knew I needed to find a way to supplement our income, but I didn't want to sacrifice the little amount of time that I had with our kids.
However, what I found when I joined Scentsy was so much more than supplemental income! I have moderate anxiety and I was in a depression after having my 2nd child....I felt like my sense of identity was gone. I was struggling to get back to the "old me." Scentsy gave me a renewed sense of purpose, and in my team I found my tribe of humans! They are so much more than team members, they are an extension of my family!
